Brockton Man Identified As Victim In Sharon Murder

Sharon police said Roberto Correra, 44, was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a burning car Monday morning.

SHARON, MA — A Brockton man was identified as the victim in a grisly homicide in Sharon early Monday morning. Sharon police on Tuesday said Roberto Correra, 44, was found dead in a rental car that was set on fire. Police said the medical examiner determined that Correra had been shot multiple times.

Sharon Deputy Chief Don Brewer said Sharon police officers and state police found the car on fire off Edge Hill Road near the Canton line at 1 a.m. Monday morning. He said it was not known on Monday whether the shooting occurred in Sharon.

The investigation remains ongoing by Sharon police and state police attached to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office, with the assistance of investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the Office of the Medical Examiner.
