Coronavirus: Sharon Urges Answering Contact Tracing Calls
Sharon officials are asking that residents accept calls and opt in to calls from town on contact tracing after a positive test.
SHARON, MA — Sharon officials are asking residents to answer the call when it comes to stopping the spread of the new coronavirus. Residents who test positive are asked to accept the call and opt-in to contact tracing if they test positive for COVID-19.
The town said residents will be given support they need to get through quarantine, but that it is important or them to be able to get in touch with those who recently had close contact with anyone who has tested positive. Officials said contact tracing calls will come from either 781-784-1500, 833-638-1685 or 857-305-2728.
Officials said they will never ask for a social security number, or heath insurance number, and names will not be released.
