Eversource To Perform Tree Trimming, Removal Near Wires In Sharon

Eversource is alerting Sharon residents that tree contractors will be cutting down trees, removing vegetation that might affect power lines.

SHARON, MA — Sharon residents are being advised of upcoming branch and tree trimming around power lines. Eversource has contracted with tree contractors to remove tall-growing trees from the right of way and cut branches extending into a right of way if they are deemed to endanger energized equipment presently or in the near future.

This is done to prevent electric outages that could impact thousands of customers.

Work in a neighborhood may include removing trees, cutting branches or removing vegetation in a right of way through cutting or moving. Work is typically done between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday unless weather circumstances for longer hours or Sunday work.
