Sharon Weather Update: Forecast Says 6-9 Inches of Snow Possible
By Sunday morning, up to nine inches of snow could be on the ground in Sharon.

SHARON, MA - Winter Storm Jonas should be arriving in the area Saturday, bringing a more than few inches of snow along the way.
Due to the weather, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Foxborough. According to the NWS, a Winter Weather Advisory is issued when snow and/or ice is expected to develop in the affected area but accumulations are expected to be light. Any snow or ice would result in slippery condition on untreated roadways and sidewalks. When temperatures are below freezing, motorists need to be especially careful on bridges and overpasses when slippery spots can easily develop.
Snow is expected to develop in the late morning, according to the NWS, and may be briefly heavy at times in the afternoon and evening.

Gusty winds up to 35 mph combined with snow may result in blowing snow and poor visibility at times.
The snow will begin to taper off at midnight.

The warning is in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday.
Due to the weather, the Sharon Police Department is advising residents to stay off the roads.
On the forecast front, some networks are increasing their projections for Sharon. The latest forecast from WHDH has Sharon receiving four to eight inches while WCVB says six to nine inches is possible.
