Friends of Sharon Public Library Preparing for Annual Used Book Sale

Last year the sale raised $7,000 for the Sharon Public Library.

The Friends of the Sharon Public Library were busy Tuesday afternoon organizing the thousands of books that will be for sale at their annual used book sale next week.

The book sale will run from Thursday May 16 to Sunday May 19.

“It’s open to the community and we are now collecting books for the sale,” said Mary Alice Dowdell, member of the Friends group.

Last year, Dowdell said they raised about $7,000 and had about 25,000 books for sale. They are expecting several hundred people at this year's sale.
