Health Inspections: Coriander Bistro, French Memories and Mick Morgan's

The following health inspection reports were submitted by Sharon Board of Health inspectors.

On any given day, a restaurant could have more or fewer violations than noted below and may not be representative of the overall cleanliness of an establishment. Wednesday -- April 10, 2013

: 

  • Buffet temperature correct. Saagtemperature correct.
  • Sanitizer checked ok.
  • Walls soiled in the kitchen. Clean more frequently.
  • Scrub pads stored in hand washing sink. Sink only to be used for hand washing.
  • Fish (salmon) not properly defrosted. Was defrosting on the counter. Advised to defrost under refrigeration, under running water or during cooking.
  • No sponge observed at 3 bay sink.
  • Lamb stored over ginger and potatoes. Advised to store raw foods below non-raw food items.

  • Hand washing sink fully stocked.
  • Ice cream scoop stored properly.
  • Sandwich and soup stations at proper temperatures.
  • Gaskets in refrigerator to the left of the sink are soiled. Advised to clean more frequently.
  • Leak at 3 bay sink. Advised to repair.

  • Upon arrival exterior door to back kitchen was open. No screens in place. Door must remain closed to prevent pest entry.
  • Bar area- Ice scoop stored in ice with handle touching ice. Must be stored in a separate location to protect from contamination.
  • Spray bottle no labelled as sanitizer. Must be labelled.
  • Floor heavily soiled below 3 bay sink. Clean and ensure floor is swept and mopped properly.
  • Dish washing machine checked ok. Quat sanitizer checked ok.
  • Kitchen- Utensils stored in hand washing sink. Sink only to be used for washing.
  • BBQ chicken at 61.3 F, tuna fish at 61 F, potatoes at 61 F, corned beef at 53 F. All products discarded.
  • Observed proper storing of rice.
  • Observed proper storing of soup.
  • Equipment not maintaining less than or equal to 41 F.
  • Ensure all food products are covered. Multiple items are uncovered.
  • Large leak observed at mop sink. Needs to be repaired.
  • Excellent storage.

Friday -- April 12, 2013

:

  • Re-inspection.
  • Refrigeration unit serviced on 4/10/13. Fans and coils were heavily soiled. Air temp at 30 F. Will provide a temperature log via email.
  • Mop sink area clean. Sink still leaking. Plumber needs to order a part. Must repair by 4/15/13.
  • Ice scoops stored properly.
  • Floors cleaned.
  • Exterior door closed.
  • All food covered.
  • Hand washing sink for hand washing only.
