Non-profit group was started to help supplement personal protection equipment for Sharon police and fire crews.

SHARON, MA — A nonprofit group in Sharon has been created to help the town's first responders with the equipment and training as they navigate the new coronavirus health emergency.

The Sharon police and fire departments are partnering with the 501(c3) organization Red, White and Blue Coats of Sharon to provide additional electrostatic disinfectant sprayers, personal protective gear, a portable decontamination tent and extra costs for K9s Buck and Flutie related to the pandemic.

The group is also looking to sponsor various speakers and events for the community.
