Sharon 4th Of July Fireworks: Everything You Need To Know
Here's your guide to all the fun in town July 3.

SHARON, MA – Sharon will host its Independence Day celebration on July 3. The festivities begin at the Decorated Bike and Doll Carriage Parade at 4 p.m. and concludes with fireworks over Lake Massapoag at 9:30 p.m. There will be a host of games, entertainment and music to enjoy in between.
Here's a look at the activities on July 3.
- 4:00 PM - Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade - the parade will travel on Beach Street to the bandstand. (Line up at Beech Tree Park [corner of Pond St and Beach Street] at 3:45 PM, and admire all the decorations!)
- 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM - the ReMax balloon will be set up at the high school fields (across the street from the entrance to Memorial Park Beach, with free balloon rides from 4:00PM - 6:00PM!
- 4:30 PM - 9:30 PM - Lakeside Celebration, including:
- 4:30PM - Face Painting and craft activities, at the picnic tables on the grass outside the bandstand, organized by the Sharon Recreation Department
- 4:30 - Performance at the bandstand by Circus Dynamics - enjoy juggling, magic, and stunts...
- Sharon's fifth annual Food Truck Fair - featuring some of the Boston area's finest food trucks. Plenty of food choices are available to have dinner at the celebration! Scheduled to appear are...
- Captain Marden's "The Cod Squad", Away Cafe, Teri-Yummy, Moyzilla, Ruby's Ice Cream and Frozen Lemonade, and more!
- Carnival Games
- Train Rides and slot car racing from The Roaming Railroad is a Sharon Independence Day Celebration tradition!
- 8:30 PM - Pie Eating Contest ($50 first place prize, must be 18 years or older to participate. Sign up at the main gate with a Sharon Independence Day Committee member)
- Live music (6:30 until 9:30), featuring the Dixie Diehards - featuring upbeat traditional New Orleans jazz music
- 9:30PM - Fireworks!
Parking
Parking is restricted throughout the area on July 3rd. Please note the restrictions below and cooperate with public safety officers entering and leaving the beach area.

Parking for the handicapped is available on a first-come basis on Beach Street until 8:15 PM. Enter through Pond St. No vehicles can exit Beach Street until the street is cleared of pedestrian traffic.
Parking is available at Deborah Sampson Park, Sharon High School, Sharon Middle School, Cottage Street School, and the Dr. Walter Griffin Playground.

There will be no parking at Memorial Beach all day.
Pedestrian access will be through the main gate on Beach St. and through the Gunhouse St. entrance. Note: alcoholic beverages and dogs are not permitted on Memorial Park Beach.
The public boat launch will be closed and boating not allowed on the lake for safety reasons.
The following streets will be partially or completely closed to parking:
Ames St. - South side Cedar St . - South side
Beach St. - either side East St - North side
Gunhouse St - South side Massapoag Ave. - south side (lake side)
Pond St. - South side (high school) Quincy St. -either side
