Sharon Beaches Open, Unstaffed For Memorial Day
Sharon officials said while residents will have access to beaches, there will be no lifeguards, restrooms and social distancing is expected.

SHARON, MA — Sharon residents are asked to use the town beaches this Memorial Day weekend respectfully and at their own risk.
Sharon officials said that staffing protocols are still being developed amid the coronavirus health crisis and that they will not be staffed this weekend. Lifeguards, gate guards and restrooms will not be available.
Officials ask that those who do use the park do so while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Those who are not from the same household are asked to stay at least 6 feet apart, and those sunbathing are asked to set up at least 12 feet from the nearest group, per the state's Outdoor Advisory Plan phase one guidelines.

There will also be a carry-in, carry-out policy where relatives are asked to take whatever they bring to the beach home with them.
"Please do your part and keep the beach grounds clean," officials said. "In order to keep the gates to our lake open, please follow all the guidelines. ... We would hate to have to close
them until the staff is in place."
