Sharon Girls 7th Grade Travel Basketball Team Takes the Championship in Thanksgiving Tournament

Lead by Head Coach, Evan Berger, the Sharon girls 7th grade basketball team “soared” to a victory in the 4th annual Nexball Turkey Classic held at Stonehill College.

The girls faced Dartmouth and Billerica on the first day of the tournament. They won their game against Dartmouth (37-24) followed by a loss against Billerica in game 2 (24-34).

The girls returned sharply the next morning to defeat Wachusett (29-26), earning them a spot in the College championship bracket against Medway. The Medway team had us on height, but in the end the girls won out on points scoring 34 points.

The final score was 34-24!
