Sharon High School Gymnasts On Top
Great accomplishments at the Hockomock League Meet and the Senior Showcase.

Congratulations to the Sharon High School Gymnastics Team for all their accomplishments this weekend. On Saturday night the team, coached by Dyann Dostoomian, won the Hockomock League Championship with a season high score of 141.7! They were presented with two awards one for winning the meet and the other for earning the League title for being the undefeated team team over the season. There were many strong performances. Senior Rachel Greene won the All Around Competition (36.7) and the Balance Beam (9.3) title, and earned 2nd Bars (9.1), 3rd FX (9.1), 4th Vault (9.2) . Senior Natalie Maidment placed 3rd in the All Around Competition (36.2) won the Bars (9.3) title, and earned 2nd Beam (9.15), 4th Floor (9.05). In the individual event competition Darren LePage shined winning the title on three events: Vault (9.5), Floor (9.4), and Bars (8.4). Other gymnasts who placed on individual events were: Ariana Chabot with 3rd Vault, 6th FX, 7th Beam; Jess Stead with 4th Beam; and Abigail Berrish with 5th Beam. On Sunday morning another proud moment for the eagles happened when two Seniors Natalie Maidment in the All Around and Pami Greenstein on Beam and Floor represented Sharon at the Senior Showcase, and enjoyed celebrating with 150 other seniors across the state for their commitment to high school gymnastics over the past 4 years. Upcoming competitions are the H.S. State Individual Championship at Shrewsbury High School on February 18th at 4:00, and the MIAA Sectional Championship Tournament at Hudson High School on February 20th at 2:00. Good luck eagles!
