Sharon High School Rated 2021 Best High School By U.S. News

The school ranked number 385 in the national ratings and number 12 in Massachusetts.

SHARON, MA — Sharon High School has been rated a 2021 Best High School by U.S. News and World Report, a global leader in education rankings.

This year's list ranks over 17,800 public high schools nationwide, measuring how well each school serves students from various social and economic backgrounds. The data is based on six factors, including college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.

"Families can use the Best High Schools rankings to see how schools compare at the national, state and local level on factors like graduation rates and college readiness," said Anita Narayan, managing editor of Education at U.S. News, in a statement. "The rankings also provide insight into academic performance among underserved groups."

Sharon High School ranked number 385 in the national ratings, number 12 in Massachusetts, and number 54 in STEM high schools.

The school also has a 99% graduation rate, well over the average for Massachusetts high schools, an AP participation rate of 66%, and a College Readiness Index of 64.2. Students also showed extremely high math and reading proficiency rates of 87% and 86%, respectively.
