Sharon Police Respond To Discovery Of World War II Grenade
Police say the grenade was inert and harmless.
SHARON, MA — Sharon Police and Fire Departments responded to an item found in a yard that resembled a grenade, said the police department in a Twitter post Tuesday.
Police say the scene was secured and several nearby homes were evacuated as a result of the discovery.
The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad later found that the item was an inert World War II grenade.
