Sharon Public Schools Welcome New Superintendent

Dr. Peter Botelho will serve as the superintendent of schools for the 2021-2022 school year.

SHARON, MA — The Sharon School Committee has chosen a new superintendent of schools for the 2021-2022 school year.

Dr. Peter Botelho was chosen out of two finalists, who were deliberated at Wednesday evening's virtual Sharon School Committee meeting.

"We have a new superintendent for the 2021-2022 school year. Welcome Dr. Botelho!" said the district in a Twitter post Thursday.

Botelho has served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology Integration at Holliston Public Schools since 2017 and previously worked as Assistant Principal at Robert H. Adams Middle School in Holliston and Arthur D. Healey School in Somerville, as well as a humanities teacher within several other school districts in Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Boston College Lynch School of Education.

Botelho will take over superintendent responsibilities from Dr. Meg Dussault, the current interim superintendent who stepped into her role last year.
