Sharon School District Reports 8 New Coronavirus Cases
The cases were reported Monday following April vacation week.
SHARON, MA — Sharon Public Schools reported on Monday that eight students have tested positive for COVID-19 following April vacation week.
According to a letter to families from Superintendent of Schools Meg Dussault, three cases were detected at Sharon High School, three at Sharon Middle School, and three at Heights Elementary School.
"Contact tracing was required only for our high school cases and all persons potentially affected were notified," said Dussault.

Sharon elementary students and school employees returned to full-time in-person classes on April 5. Middle and high school students have the option to return to a regular in-person schedule starting April 28.
While families have been given the option to continue remote learning, students who attend in-person classes are required to follow COVID-19 guidelines, including maintaining three feet of distance in the classrooms and six feet of distance during lunch. Hybrid learning is no longer available.
