Softball Lose After Giving Up Runs Early to Stoughton

The girls lost 6-1 Monday afternoon.

The Sharon varsity softball team lost, 6-1, to Stoughton at home Monday after giving up six runs in the first two innings.

“We gave up three in the first and three in the second and then pretty much kept them where we needed to," said Sharon head coach Deb Parker. "We just didn’t come back with our bats at all and that hurt."

Said Stoughton head coach Janet Sullivan: “Give them credit because their pitcher, she’s come in off their bench because they lost their starting pitcher, she did a great job. She shut us down after two innings. We didn’t score again.”
