SHARON, MA — The solar array on the roof of Heights Elementary School has been turned on, said the school in a Twitter post Thursday.

The array, which has been active since April 20, has already reduced the carbon footprint of the school by 27,000 pounds of CO2, the equivalent of planting 206 trees.
