Strong Second Half Leads Canton Football Past Sharon

The Eagles fall to the Canton Bulldogs.

It was a classic tale of two halves for the Sharon Eagles against the Canton Bulldogs. Despite a back and forth first half that saw the Eagles with the advantage, the Bulldogs came roaring back, scoring 26 unanswered points in a 26-7 win over Sharon.

“They came out and I hate to say it but we made more mistakes in the second half than we did in the first half. That’s (Canton’s) offense, they put you into situations where you make a mistake,” Sharon head coach Dave Morse said,

The Eagles’ had a chance to go up late in the first quarter when a 27-yard pass to Bryce Smith from Kevin Byrne brought the Eagles down to the Canton 18-yard line, but the Bulldogs’ defense held strong, stopping the Eagles from converting on a Tyler Smith pitch on fourth and three.
