Shrewsbury Home Sales up More Than 40 Percent

The MA Association of Realtors said the median price of a Shrewsbury home has increased.

Compared with last year's data compiled by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, the median price of a single-family home in Shrewsbury has gone up 14.2 percent and sales increased almost 44 percent, according to a recent report in Buyers Brokers Only.

The price jumped from $300,000 to $342,500 from April 2012 to April 2013, and sales went up 43.8 percent in April.

The data, said Buyers Brokers Only, includes a report of seven condo sales up from five the previous year, and indicated that the "lack of inventory played a role in the price increases" for homes overall.
