Developer Eyes East End Grille Space In Somerville

A mixed use development has been proposed for the space. The final community meeting before a planning board vote is next week.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A new development has been proposed to replace the East End Grille space at the corner of Broadway and Glen Street. The developer behind the project, Goodfood Restaurant Group LLC, is proposing a mixed-use building consisting of 24 residential units, two commercial storefronts and a private parking garage for about 20 vehicles.

East End Grille, a restaurant and bar that fused upscale fare with classic pub food, closed in October after three years at 118 Broadway.

A final community meeting about the project will be held Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. at the Fire Station Community Center, 165 Broadway. Residents will have the opportunity to ask about demolition and construction, potential traffic issues and parking impacts, the appearance and scale of the proposal, housing affordability options and any other concerns they may have.
