Former Stoneham Town Clerk Passes Away

Annamae Arsenault loved town and served as Town Clerk for 19 years.

Annamae Arsenault, 90, retired Town Clerk of Stoneham, was born in Stoneham on July 13, 1928 and passed away on Friday, April 12, surrounded by family in her daughter's home where she resided.

Annamae is survived by her son, Michael Mustone, daughter Nancy (Mustone) Caissie and her husband Robert, daughter Maryann (Mustone) Reinold and her husband John, her nephew James Arsenault and his wife Michele and her sister Rosemary Yasi. Annamae is also lovingly survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Annamae is preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph and Joseph Arsenault, her son Thomas Mustone Sr., her grandson Thomas Mustone Jr., 10 brothers and 1 sister.

Annamae served as Town Clerk for 19 years. She was awarded the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk in 1982, one of 89 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Annamae was an active participant in the community. She loved the Town of Stoneham. She loved to read and travel and enjoyed classical music and theater.

Annamae enjoyed going to see performances at Stoneham Theatre or being in variety shows herself. Generous and philanthropic by nature, she always extended a helping hand with a smile and grace. Annamae was trustworthy and dignified, faithful and committed to the Catholic Church. As a Justice of the Peace, she performed many marriage ceremonies. She had an uncanny ability to connect with people.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) Stoneham, Thursday, April 18th at 9 am followed by a Funeral Service in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Annamae's Family on Wednesday, April 17th from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
