Monday Essentials: The Stereo Kings to Play Concert in Stoneham

Here is a sampling of activities going on in Stoneham from Aug. 5-9:

1. The Stoneham Chamber of Commerce's annual Summer Concert Series continues this week, as party band The Stereo Kings will be performing from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Town Common, according to the chamber of commerce website.

2. A craft group meets at 10 am. on Mondays the Stoneham Senior Center, according to the senior center website.

3. Take a trip to the Aussie Adventure display at Stone Zoo today! See koalas, kookaburra and other animals from Down Under from now until Labor Day, according to the Zoo New England website.

4. Stoneham Public Library will be hosting LEGO Day from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday in the Children's Room, according to the library website. The program is for children ages 5-plus (best for 8-plus), and children under 8 need to be accompanied by an adult, according to the site.

5. Redstone Liquors will be hosting a beer tasting featuring beers from Cambridge-based Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project, from 4-7 p.m. Friday, according to the Redstone Liquors website.
