Obituary for Jacqueline 'Jackie' Kelley

Jacqueline F. "Jackie" (Fuchs) Kelley passed away at the Life Care Center in Stoneham on Monday, July 29. She was 79. 

Jackie was born in Somerville, raised in Somerville and Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. Kelley's husband Richard bought their house on Bancroft Road in Melrose in 1967 and have been longtime residents of Melrose. 

Jackie worked as a secretary and administrator to the president of Keystone Custodial Funds in Boston for 20 years. She was a longtime member of Incarnation Church in Melrose where she taught CCD for a number of years. She was also a member of Bear Hill Country Club for over 50 years and was very active at the golf club.

Kelley enjoyed traveling to Bermuda and St. Kitts and enjoyed gardening. Jackie was the beloved wife of Richard C. Kelley. Caring sister of Janice Scibelli of Topsfield and the late Joan Hardway and Constance Kayes. Devoted aunt of Carol Fober, Gail Fober Katz, Janet Boyden, Eileen Pacquin, Robert Kelley, Susan Strahan, Stacey Scibelli, Sandra Scibelli, Richard Hardway, Patricia Parece and Brian Hardway. Also survived by several grand nieces and nephews. 

Visiting hours were held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Friday, Aug. 2 from 8:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 429 Upham St., Melrose, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Memorial contributions may be made in Jackie's name to the Jimmy Fund, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02155 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
