This week's Stoneham Home of the week is 12 Beacon St., Unit 1—one of the three condominium units created into the former East Elementary School.

The exterior of the former school has been preserved and restored to its original 1938 details, while added out back is parking , first-floor decks and second-floor balconies. The interior architectural details and finishes reflect the historic, schoolhouse character, according to the list: 10-foot-six-inch ceilings, hardwood floors, with period-correct classroom windows.
