PHOTOS: Stone Zoo Welcomes Newborn Endangered Mountain Goat Twins

Yep, we said it. Twins. Prepare for a cuteness overload.

Stoneham, MA—If you head to the Stone Zoo, you might get a chance to see adorable new mountain goat twin babies.

The Zoo announced Wednesday that a markhor, an endangered species of mountain goat, had given birth to a new set of twins on July 26. The new babies made their exhibit debut on Aug. 1, and are very active staying very close to their mother.

“The first-time mother is very attentive and is doing everything she should be doing. These animals are skilled climbers suited to rough, rocky terrain, and it’s amazing to observe the agility in the kids at such a young age,” said Pete Costello, Assistant Curator of Stone Zoo.
