Authorities Deem Hole in Fells to Be 'Not Suspicious'

After more than four hours investigating a wooded area off Route 28 north Thursday in Stoneham, authorities have deemed a large hole in the ground to be "not suspicious."

State Police began investigating around 2 p.m. In an area set back roughly 40 yards from Route 28.

Investigators could be seen carrying out equipment around 6:45 p.m.
