Stoneham separated from Charlestown in 1725 — on Dec. 17, to be exact. The town is already looking ahead to 2025.
"Because of 2020, we're kind of a little bit behind the 8-ball on this one, we really need to get it going if we're going to do this right," Select Board member Raymie Parker said.

Discussions started with a nine-person committee made up of the town administrator, one person each from the Select Board, Historical Commission, Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce, Memorial Day Committee, police department and fire department and a resident.
It was suggested the committee expands to bring on a school voice and perhaps a few more residents.
A town webpage about the celebration doesn't have much information.
