Stoneham Picks Cataldo For Ambulance Services
The town is changing from Action Ambulance to Cataldo Ambulance for a three-year deal that begins June 30.
STONEHAM, MA — The town has settled on Cataldo Ambulance as its ambulance and emergency medical dispatch vendor, Town Administrator Dennis Sheehan and Fire Chief Matthew Grafton announced Thursday.
Stoneham will move on from Action Ambulance and begin a three-year deal with Cataldo June 30. There will be no gap in service.
A news release said Cataldo offered the best proposal and was judged on its equipment/ambulance availability, low ambulance rates to customers, availability of advanced training resources for the Stoneham Fire and Police Departments, availability of additional resources, the overall quality of their proposal, references from other communities, and the deliverability of modern tools including automated chest compression devices and powered stretchers, and regional overdose tracking data.
