Stoneham Woman Accused of Drunk Driving

At 3:21 p.m. July 11, Stoneham police responded to McDonough's Liquors on Central Street for a report of an intoxicated woman, according to a police log. The caller told police that the woman was attempting to leave in a vehicle, according to the log. Margaret Sylva, 62, of 20 Tremont St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, driving an unregistered vehicle and a marked lanes violation. 

July 10

10:09 a.m.: Police called to a Flint Avenue apartment for a report of phone threats, according to a police log. A report was taken.

July 11

7:06 p.m.: Police called to Recreation Park on Dale Court for a report of a possible drunk fan at a Little League game upsetting the athletes, according to a police log. The fan was asked to leave the field by the umpire and he refused, according to the log. Police sent the man on his way, the log adds. 

9:19 p.m.: Police responded to Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident, according to a police log. No tows or transports logged.

July 12

8:19 a.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of vandalism, according to a police log. The caller reported a rock thrown through the window, according to the log. 

8:25 a.m.: Police responded to Pebble Place on a report of past breaking and entering into vehicles overnight, according to a police log.

11:28 a.m.: Police called to Parkway Road for a report of several unauthorized attempts to open credit accounts in her name, according to a police log. A report was taken.

6:09 p.m.: Police responded to Penny Lane for a report of a recovered stolen vehicle, according to a police log. The caller reported seeing two people park and exit the vehicle around 11 p.m. July 11. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Newton, according to the log. The vehicle was towed, the log adds.

6:34 p.m.: Police called to Evergreen Road on a report of a vehicle stolen by the caller's stepson, according to a police log. The vehicle and suspect were located in a Church Street lot, the log adds.
