Stoneham Woman Earns Honor at Skidmore College

A Stoneham woman received an honor for the spring semester at New York-based Skidmore College, according to a press statement.
Sarah Markiewicz, of Winchester, was selected for membership in the Periclean Honors Forum, which works to strengthen intellectual life at Skidmore and especially to encourage the academic aspirations of highly motivated and talented students, according to the statement. Formal membership is based on academic accomplishment, the statement adds.
Markiewicz, a member of the Class of 2016 at Skidmore, is the daughter of James and Theresa Markiewicz of Stoneham, according to the statement.

Academic prizes were announced during Honors Convocation, Skidmore's annual celebration of academic achievement, reads the statement.
