A release from StonehamBank:

STONEHAM, Ma. - Earlier this month, StonehamBank donated $15,000 to the North Shore Community Development Coalition (NSCDC) to support their housing initiatives for homeless youth and youth aging out of foster care.

North Shore CDC recently completed an innovative project at 15-17 Harbor Street in Salem. Harbor Street Homes is specifically designed to provide housing for homeless youth and youth aging out of foster care, who are defined as “opportunity youth” - those who are out of school and/or out of work. North Shore CDC’s Harbor Street Homes project includes not only housing, but wrap around services including an onsite Youth Services Coordinator/Case Manager and a Resident Manager. Programs are designed to help youth prepare for economic sustainability, allowing them to move into independent housing by age 26.
