Stoneham's Barbara Blauvelt Passes Away

Longtime town resident was born in Cambridge.

An obituary from the Barile Family Funeral Home:

Barbara A. (Goguen) Blauvelt of Stoneham, formerly of Arlington passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, at Alliance Health at Rosewood in Peabody. She was 82 years of age.

Barbara was born on November 23, 1936 in Cambridge . She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Blauvelt.

Barbara was a dedicated and devoted homemaker. Her family came first and foremost in her life. Spending time with loved ones and family meant the world to her.

Barbara was the loving mother Bill Blauvelt and his wife Laurie, Joyce Stott and her husband John, Steven Blauvelt and his wife Patrice, Larry Blauvelt and the late Raymond Blauvelt. She was the cherished grandmother of Rene, Jaclyn, Chris, Nick, Dean, Colby, Sophie – Jo, Ross, John, Tyler and Austin. Barbara was the doting great grandmother of Annabella and Gianna. She was the dear sister of John Gogaun.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Barbara's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, February
13th at 10am in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the Mass beginning at 8 am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) Stoneham. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Barbara's memory to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul of St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham, MA 02180.
