Stoneham's Derek Jones Passes Away

Derek M. Jones, 45, of Stoneham, beloved son of Janet (Borrelli) Jones and the late Alfred J. Jones, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 27th, surrounded by his family, at Winchester Hospital, following a brief illness.

Derek grew up in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, class of 1992. For many years, Derek worked as a fence installer, having owned his own company. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Derek will be lovingly remembered as being the only boy in a large family of women and having a quick and dry wit sense of humor.

In addition to his mother Janet, he is survived by his loving sister: Dawn Jones Dockery. Cherished uncle of Grace Dockery. Grandson of late maternal grandparents: Albert J. and Janet (Belle) Borrelli and paternal grandmother: Grace (Gallagher) Reynolds. Brother-in-law of Kevin Dockery and also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service Celebrating Derek's Life will be held at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28), Stoneham, on Monday, March 4th at 11 am.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Derek's Family at the funeral home on Sunday, March 3rd from 2-6 pm. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
Burial will be held privately.
