Stoneham's Donna Sarmanian Passes Away

An obituary from the Barile Family Funeral Home:

Donna L. (Staffier) Sarmanian, of Stoneham, formerly of Revere, passed away on Tuesday July 30th surrounded by her family after an incredibly courageous battle with cancer. She was 65 years of age.

Donna is the beloved wife of Michael Sarmanian. She is the proud mother of Jena Sarmanian, Lara Roche and her husband Kenneth, and Michael Sarmanian. Cherished "Ninnie" of Paige and Caroline Roche. Donna is the loving daughter of the late Victor and Victoria (Angelo) Staffier. An extraordinary woman, beautiful inside and out, and an amazing friend to countless others.

Donna loved many things in life. She was an avid Boston Celtics fan and a Jeopardy fanatic, always knowing the answers to more questions than you. She enjoyed reading a good book at her happy place, the screen porch of her summer home in Sagamore Beach. If you knew her, she had likely given you a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear and most certainly good advice in return. She loved soft serve "twists," trying out the newest restaurants around town and spending a long weekend in Fort Lauderdale. She was the happiest surrounded by those she loved, especially her granddaughters who brought her an incredible amount of joy.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) Stoneham, Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019 at 8:45 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Donna's Eternal Life in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 am. Interment will be Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Friday August 2, 2019 from 3-7 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
