Stoneham's Frances Sheridan Passes Away

Longtime town resident was a graduate of Woburn High School.

Frances E. (Day) Sheridan, beloved wife of the late Charles Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 with her loving family at her side. Born in Woburn, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Hooper) Day.

Frances grew up in East Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School. For 40 years, she worked as a bookkeeper at Normandy House Nursing Home until her retirement, just ten years ago. Frances enjoyed bowling, reading and playing cards with family and friends. She was devoted to her family. Frances' made sure that the tradition of Sunday family dinners continued, and her door was always open. Cookouts always included everyone. She was the family matriarch and her love for everyone in her family was truly exceptional.

She is the devoted mother of Charles Sheridan and his wife Dianne, Dottie Conn and her husband Larry, Kate Duff and her husband John and Judi Viglione and her husband Jimmy. Cherished grandmother of Ami and her husband Denevan, Michael, Katie and her husband Scott, Megan, Steven and his wife Rachel, Michael, Patrick, Emma and the late David and great grandmother to six great grandchildren. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Hooper) Day. Loving sister of Joseph Day and his wife Mary, James Day and his wife Betty, John Day, Jeanne D'Entremont and was predeceased by John D'Entremont , Mary and John Murphy, Catty and Frank Bondi and Joan and Tom Gilmartin. She is also the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Rt. 28) Stoneham on Monday, May 20th, at 9 am followed by a funeral mass celebrating Frances' Eternal Life at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 am.

Friends and family are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Frances' family on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 from 3-7 pm.

Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
