Stoneham's Luana Mascia Passes Away

Maria L. "Luana" (Cedrone) Mascia of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, July 2nd at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was 86 years of age.

Born on August 4, 1932 in Boston, Luana is the loving daughter of the late Gerald Cedrone and Dr. Carmela (Tremontozzi) Cedrone. Luana is a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Luana was a dedicated dental hygienist for many years. She loved her family. Spending time with family and friends was first and foremost in her life.

Luana is the beloved wife of Louis J. Mascia. She is the devoted mother of Louis A. Mascia III and his wife Kathy, and Chris J. Mascia and his wife Jessica. Luana is the cherished grandmother of Victoria Mascia, Rachel Mascia, Louis A. Mascia IV, Vincent Mascia and Maxwell Mascia. She is the dear sister of Antoinette DelVendo and her late husband Tony, Anna Rickman, and the late James Cedrone and his late wife Edith, the late Laura Muscarella, the late Florence Larkin and her late husband John and the late Nancy Orban and her late husband Chester. Luana is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Luana's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, July 10th at 11 am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) Stoneham. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the Service beginning at 10 am in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
