Amtrak Switch Issue Sparks Serious Commuter Rail Delays Monday
Impacted lines included Providence, Stoughton, Needham and Franklin, according to the MBTA.

Commuter rail riders were left waiting during a chilly Monday morning commute, as a reported Amtrak switch issue caused significant delays.
As of about 10:30 a.m., some trains were still running as much as 45 minutes behind, according to the Mass. Bay Transit Authority.
The ripple effects of an Amtrak switch issue first reported around 7 a.m. continued for hours. Delays throughout the morning were as brief as 5-10 minutes, and as long as 65, per the MBTA's predictions.
