Angelo's Roast Beef On Hold For Stoughton
Plans for the new roast beef shop are on hiatus while owner Richard Monsini deals with family health complications.

STOUGHTON, MA — Richard Monsini was hoping to bring his restaurant, Angelo's Famous Roast Beef, to town within a couple of months, but unforeseen circumstances are putting those plans on hold.
Plans for the new roast beef shop at 354 Washington St. are on hiatus while Monsini's mother battles leukemia. In a Facebook post shared on the restaurant's page, Monsini said his mother was admitted at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
"I need to be by my mothers side right now. She is my number one priority," Monsini said. "After all, she took care of me all these years; it is my turn to be there for her. Thank you for understanding and thank you for supporting my business. Who knows what the future holds."

Monsini's mother developed myelodysplasia, a pre-leukemia two months ago, he told the Brockton Enterprise. He said his mother has battled Non-Hodgkin lymphoma for the last 14 years and beat it three times.
The Plymouth location at 5 Main St. Extension will remain open.

"I hope everyone understands my decision and will continue to keep my wonderful staff in downtown Plymouth very busy, while I’ll be spending all of my time with my mom," Monsini announced on Facebook.
