Bernard 'Ben' Mulligan: Stoughton Resident, Soccer Fan

Visitation and services will be held Friday and Saturday.

Bernard ”Ben” Mulligan, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died on Nov. 11. He was 74.

Mulligan came to the United States from his native Ireland in 1962. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard for a number of years and worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 2000.

Mulligan was active at the Irish Cultural Center in Canton and enjoyed watching sports, especially soccer. He cheered for Manchester United and Chelsea.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary F. “Fanchea” (Hayes) Mulligan. Read the complete obituary here.

Visiting hours are Friday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Farley Funeral Home. Services will take place Saturday at 9:15 a.m. at Farley with a funeral mass to follow at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton.
