Despite More Snow than Expected, Stoughton Avoids Worst of the Storm
The storm wasn't the two inches predicted on Thursday, but the worse didn't come to Stoughton.
STOUGHTON, MA - It may not have been the storm-like conditions that hit Washington D.C. and New York City, but Stoughton received more snow than originally expected.
As late as Thursday, the National Weather Service said that the area would only see about two inches of snow, but estimates would rise through Friday and Saturday, with some projections pushing nine inches.
The snow was expected to taper off around midnight, before stopping at 2 a.m. according to the NWS. Several towns in Norfolk County will likely see 4-8 inches of snow.
