Eight from Stoughton took part in the 2013 Sharon Triathlon, held this past Sunday, August 11 at the Sharon Town Beach.
The field of about 500 swam half a mile, biked 12.4 miles and ran 4.4 miles.
James Magaldi was Stoughton's top finisher, coming in 11th overall, with a time of 1:17:01, completing the swim in 13:22, the bike ride in 31:18, and the run in 29:58. He had the third-best split in the bike portion of the race.
Melissa Chester-Letendre was the top female from Stoughton, finishing in 1:30.25.
Other Stoughton participants included (in order of finish): Christine Howe, David Petersile, Tim Howe, Joyce Petersile, Kristina Kozak, and Julia Quattrucci.
