ICYMI: Info Night For 2021 Stoughton Grads: College, Work, More

Juniors of Stoughton High School and their parents or guardians are welcome to attend the informational evening.

STOUGHTON, MA — Stoughton school officials are welcoming parents and guardians to the Junior College and Career Night, where admissions specialists of local universities will be speaking, according to a social media post by the school system.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Stoughton High School.

It will begin with a brief keynote address from Scott Boydston, an admissions representative from Universal Technical Institute.

Other panelists will be:

  • Michael O'Keefe, Admissions Counselor, UMASS Boston
  • Fran Ridolfo, Admissions Representative, Johnson & Wales University
  • Nathan Galati, TSgt, USAF

After the panel discussion, Stoughton school counselors will show information and timelines for parents and students planning their future after high school, including college, work and the military.

School officials offered a link to the video below, called "Success in the New Economy."

"Our goal in sharing the presentation is to communicate the importance of career planning with our students regardless of their post secondary plans. Developing a college and career plan now saves money, impacts future opportunities and impacts career satisfaction life-long," the post by Director of School Counseling Beth Hennessy said.

"Supporting your child in attaining their college and career goals requires a team. Don’t miss this important meeting. We encourage parents to attend with their juniors," it said.
