Man Caught With Stolen Gun In Stoughton: State Police

State Police said the gun was reported stolen out of South Carolina.

STOUGHTON, MA — State troopers arrested a man in Stoughton after police said he was caught with a gun that was reported stolen out of South Carolian.

Jason Randall, 33, of Randolph, was charged with possession of a firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, firearm violation with one prior violent/drug crime, receiving stolen property and several traffic violations.

Around 2 a.m., Saturday, a State Police trooper was patrolling Route 24 in Stoughton. State Police said the trooper saw someone, later identified as Randall, driving a black Cadillac erratically, swerving between lanes. Randall's registration had also expired, State Police said.

State Police said they pulled Randall over and learned his driver's license was suspended. The Cadilliac needed to be towed, so police said they searched the vehicle and found a Glock 19 gun with a fully-loaded 20-round magazine. State Police said they discovered someone in South Carolina reported the gun stolen.
