Morrell's BBQ In Stoughton Closes, Will Focus On Catering
Morrel's BBQ, a restaurant known for its ribs, pulled pork, fried chicken and more, closed and will focus on catering out of its food truck.
STOUGHTON, MA — Morrel's BBQ, a restaurant known for its ribs, pulled pork, fried chicken and more, has closed its restaurant. Ownership said it will shift its focus to catering and use its food truck for corporate and private events.
According to a post on Morrel's Facebook page, another restaurant will move in and take over its former spot. The barbecue eatery first opened in 2017 after originally being set up as a food truck business. For two years, Morrel's BBQ operated out of 577 Washington St. at LaStoria Italian bar and Grill's former location.
"It is with mixed feelings that we announce that Morrell’s BBQ RESTAURANT is transitioning to offer catering and the food truck for private and corporate events, and the restaurant is being transferred to a new restaurateur ...," the restaurant's owner said on Facebook. "This is not a good bye so follow us on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming events and pop-ups that will be open to our friends and family."
