New Dogtopia Offers Home Away from Home for MetroWest Canines

Dog Daycare, Boarding, Training and Spa Facility to Host Grand Opening Event January 13

Dogtopia, the nation’s leading dog daycare, boarding and spa business, is opening its first Northeast location in Stoughton on Saturday, January 13. Open now for tours and Meet & Greet doggie evaluations, Dogtopia of Stoughton is situated at 284 Washington Street. This location debuts the first Dogtopia Lite model in the country, the franchise’s smaller-footprint option.

The new Dogtopia is owned by local entrepreneur, Bill Polk. Polk served for four years in the Marine Corps and went on to earn both a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Education at Stanford University. During this time, Polk developed a strong passion for business and spent his following years traveling the world for business before settling in Massachusetts 18 years ago. Eager to combine his passion for business with his even greater passion for dogs, Polk immediately knew that Dogtopia would be the perfect opportunity for him. Polk is the proud owner of two Great Danes, Luke and Zoe.

“We are thrilled to bring Dogtopia to the neighborhood and provide the highest quality care for dogs in the area,” said Polk. “Our mission is to create the most exciting day ever for dogs, while giving their parents peace of mind while they’re away. Instead of being left alone at home or in an isolated kennel environment, Dogtopia provides an opportunity for our furry clients to meet new friends, get exercise, enjoy playtime and have quality human interaction while their parents are away.”

Offering open play and personalized care for dogs in a fun, safe and comfortable environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among dog daycare’s three key benefits: education, exercise and safe socialization. To foster complete transparency, pet parents are walked through a detailed facility tour while their dogs are evaluated for Dogtopia’s open-play environment. Dogtopia employs webcam technology in each room to allow pet parents to check on their dogs from anywhere.

“We understand the dogs in our care are more than just pets – they’re members of the family,” added Polk. “Our employees are meticulously trained to take every measure possible to guarantee their comfort, safety and meet all of their needs.”

The Stoughton location, the first of the Dogtopia Lite model facilities, comprises 3,000 square feet. The location will feature two playrooms with natural light in each room, and a separate spa area. Dogtopia’s furry friends will enjoy an open layout where each playroom offers fun for dogs of similar size and temperament. Each playroom has compressed rubber flooring to ease joints, prevent slipping and promote safer play, as well as a separate powerful HVAC system funneling air out of the building to ensure clean, fresh air. Every area is cleaned multiple times a day with dog-safe products. Pet parents can buy single day passes or discounted multi-pack passes. Overnight boarding is a single flat fee which includes daycare for your pet. The spa services offered include bathing brush outs, ear and teeth cleaning, and nail clipping.

Dogtopia of Stoughton is open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information on Dogtopia of Stoughton, call 617-241-3999 or visit https://www.dogtopia.com/stoughton/.
