Price Rite, Shaw's: Thanksgiving 2020 Stoughton Supermarket Hours

STOUGHTON, MA — While Thanksgiving Day gatherings are likely to be a little smaller this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn’t mean we’re less likely to forget the cranberry sauce, the gravy or the whipped topping for the pumpkin pie.

It’s a terrible feeling — but, luckily, there’s a list of grocery stores that will be open in the Stoughton area for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips.

In contrast to previous years, retail giants Target and Walmart will not be open on Thanksgiving. Both chains made the decision in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement released on its website, Target said the company’s goal is to "make the holiday shopping experience simple, safe, and stress-free.”

Almost no grocery stores will be open in the region on Thanksgiving Day. Here are the big ones in the area:

BJ’s Wholesale Club: All locations closed on Thanksgiving.

Cumberland Farms: All locations open normal hours.

CVS: Most stores will be open on Thanksgiving.

Market Basket: All Massachusetts locations closed on Thanksgiving.

Price Rite: Local stores, including Stoughton, closed on Thanksgiving

Shaw's: Locations, Canton and Brockton, closed on Thanksgiving.

Stop & Shop: All stores in Massachusetts are closed on Thanksgiving.

Walgreens: Most locations closed on Thanksgiving.
