STOUGHTON, MA — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Stoughton so you can start planning now.

What: 4th of July Parade

Where: Stoughton Center

When: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., July 4

Before you hit the grill on July 4, join your Stoughton neighbors for a parade through the center of town. With classic cars, colorful floats, and marching bands, there's something at this parade for the whole family. The parade begins at the intersection of Park Street and Prospect streets, before cutting through the center and finishing on Washington Street.

Fireworks Near Stoughton

Canton

Canton hosts its annual fireworks display at the Irish Cultural Centre, located at 200 New Boston Dr., on July 4. There will be inflatables, face painting and airbrush tattoos for kids. Live music starts at 7 p.m., followed by the fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Sharon

Memorial Beach Park, off Lake Massapoag gives Sharon one of the best backdrops around for Fourth of July fireworks. On July 3, there will be live music, a pie eating contest, and other fun activities throughout the park, starting at 4 p.m. The night is capped off with a firework show shooting off at 9:30 p.m.

Brockton

June 28 through July 7, the Brockton Fair is in town. Come celebrate the Fourth of July with five fireworks displays, carnival ride, games, demolition derbies, live music and more. A day-by-day schedule of all the fair's events can be found in this schedule.
