Stoughton Coronavirus Threat Rises In Latest State Report

In the most recent update of the state's coronavirus map, Stoughton's case count and positive test rates rose.

STOUGHTON, MA — Stoughton residents and visitors have a "moderate" risk of contracting the coronavirus, according to data released by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Tuesday.

The percentage of positive test results for Stoughton residents over the past 14 days rose to 1.65 percent, which is still below the state's 2 percent safety threshold. The number of new cases, 16, was also higher. For the two weeks ended Aug. 12, Stoughton recorded a daily incidence rate of 4.13 new cases per 100,000 residents.
