STOUGHTON, MA — IKEA in Stoughton reopened Sunday after a sewage backup forced more than 20,000 customers to evacuate the furniture store. Customers' holiday shopping was thrown a curve ball Saturday when a sewer line backed up and blocked all the drains inside IKEA and leaked water all over the floor.

Store management told WBZ 4 no one was hurt, but the evacuation created traffic delays. Some drivers said they were stuck in traffic for a half hour.

"The health and safety of our customers and coworkers are what’s important and we wanted to make sure we got everybody out," Williams told WBZ 4.
