Stoughton Library To Begin Limited Reopening

STOUGHTON, MA — The Stoughton Public Library will reopen with limited hours beginning Wednesday. The library has been closed except for pickup and drop-off services because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Library usage will be by appointment only for same-day browsing, computer usage and visits to the children's room. A limited number of patrons will be allowed into the building at one time.

Front porch pickup will continue to be available 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except for Wednesdays which will shift to 12 p.m.-7 p.m. Appointment days and times are Wednesday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Thursdays from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

The following rules and changes will be in effect:

• Appointments can be made on the same day only, by phone only at 781-344-2711, first come first served. No advanced reservations will be accepted.
• All staff and patrons must wear masks that completely cover their nose and mouth while in the Library.
• All patrons must check in with the greeter at the front door and sanitize their hands.
• Please adhere to the 20-minute appointment limit per patron/ per family (in children’s room) for browsing.
• Computer use has a one-hour maximum/day.
• Only one patron per computer station.
• Patrons under 18 must have a parental permission slip on file.
• Chromebooks are available to check out.
• Remote printing via email to splquickprint@gmail.com is available through curbside pickup.
• Book Bundles are available for all ages.
• All returns must be placed in the front/rear outside book drops, open 24/7. No returns will be accepted inside the building.
• Masks are required.
